Wedding April 2008 - Maggie and Jake
They both attended a Speed Dating event put on by "15 First Dates" in Scottsdale, AZ - it was at the Six Lounge - very modern kind of place. Maggie went with a friend she met from an Arizona Girls Group on yahoo. She was very lost in trying to find the place and was on the phone with Drew and almost didn't show up! Upon arrival, Maggie and her friend had the opportunity to talk to Jake while hanging out at the bar waiting for the event to begin, which seems to significantly improved the chances of the couple reconnecting. Once the event started, the ladies had assigned seats, and the men were instructed to rotate from table to table as the bell rang (every 3 minutes). The seat next to Maggie was empty so the guys had a break before talking with her - Jake and Maggie distinctly remember talking about how thirsty she was from talking non-stop, and about some drunk guy that kept talking so close to the candle on the table that he blew out about three of them. After the entire round was finished, surprisingly, everyone ditched except for Jake, Maggie, and her friend - so the three of them talked a while - but did not even exchange email or numbers!!!! Since both Jake and Maggie turned in “Yes” responses to the company, each received an email with the other person’s email the next day or so. Considering Speeddating as the First Date, the Third Date was planned (movie at his house) before the Second Date (dinner at an Indian Restaurant). As you can tell, it worked out
